About the Speaker
Dr. Ariel Cruz Bernardo
Dr. Ariel Cruz Bernardo is a Filipino global leadership educator, university professor, author, speaker, and leadership mentor based in South Korea. His professional journey is a remarkable story of resilience - from working as a factory employee after arriving in South Korea in 2006 to becoming an internationally recognized educator and leadership development specialist.
He earned his graduate studies in South Korea and later completed his doctoral degree in Leadership. Throughout his career, he has taught and lectured in the fields of leadership, international development, public administration, communication, and organizational development in universities, leadership institutes, and professional conferences in Korea and abroad.
As an author of more than 30 published books, Dr. Bernardo writes extensively on leadership, personal growth, relationships, communication, and values-based living. He is the founder and president of several leadership development initiatives that provide executive coaching, mentoring, leadership education, and professional development programs for leaders across Asia and other parts of the world - training thousands of professionals, executives, educators, entrepreneurs, and community leaders from more than 50 countries.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions to overseas Filipino communities, Dr. Bernardo received the Gold Medal Banaag Presidential Award (2021), the highest distinction conferred by the President of the Philippines upon outstanding Filipinos based overseas. Today, he continues to live in Seoul, South Korea, with his wife, Jesalyn Cajucom-Bernardo, and their five children, while serving organizations and leaders across different countries through education, mentoring, and leadership development.
